Install Guide

To use our wiper module, you’ll need to connect +12V (switched)  and Ground with the supplied pigtail and install alongside a functioning stock GM-style  wiper motor. The stock wiper motor system operates by 12v being supplied constantly, with the switch providing ground selectively to complete the Slow, Fast, and Wash circuits. 

In our wiper module, the additional 12v supply powers an internal microcontroller, which uses MOSFETS to conditionally apply the Ground needed to complete those circuits.

IMPORTANT: If your stock-style wiper motor is not working– either the self-park feature is no longer working, or the wiring harness is incorrectly installed– our module will not work properly. Please see the diagrams below to ensure your system is wired correctly. Once installed, our module will provide three intermittent settings in addition to the regular Slow and Fast settings.

Disconnect Battery

This device is designed for 12V automotive systems only. Disconnect vehicle battery before installation. If you smell burning or see smoke, immediately disconnect power.

Remove Old Switch

Removal of old switch and installation of new module is possible without removing the dash cluster. However, it is generally easier to install without the dash cluster in the way, and it also makes it easier to verify that the wiring is correct.

Remove the existing wiper switch from the dash and unplug from the harness. Verify that wires coming from the plug are correct.

Connect Power/Ground

Connect the black wire from the supplied pigtail to ground (clean, unpainted metal).

Connect the red wire from the pigtail to a switched (Key ON) 12V source. The module is fused internally. If not already used by other accessories, the stock fuse panel provides two unfused, switched 12V supplies.

Verify Motor Connections

Refer to diagram and verify that the wiring to your wiper motor is correct. 

Note that the Yellow Wire comes from the harness, and jumps between the Wiper and Washer to supply 12v. 

Connect the Wiper Module

Ensure no wires are pinched, rubbing, or exposed to moving parts. Use zip ties or harness tape to ensure the power/ground wires will not vibrate loose.
