The module's custom PCB runs off the truck's 12V supply, regulated down to 5V for an 8-bit microcontroller that handles the timing logic. Reverse-polarity and transient protection sit ahead of the regulator, so a backwards jump-start or a load dump doesn't reach the rest of the board.
The three intermittent delay settings sit between Off and the stock Low and High detents in the sweep. Three 60V/50A N-channel MOSFETs handle the output to the wiper motor. The switch connector mates directly with the factory harness using Packard 56-series terminals.
Installation
The job takes about an hour and uses basic hand tools. It requires crimping leads to the supplied pigtail, connecting to a switched 12V source and ground, and installing the new module in the factory location.
The dash cluster doesn't strictly need to come out, but pulling it makes the work easier and gives a clear view of the harness to verify the wiper motor is wired correctly.
